Its Been Awhile

2 min read
So I originally started my dA account so that I could follow my wife's creations while I was deployed. I got tired of being just a viewer, watching every else being brave and submitting a little piece of themselves, and decided to get involved. I posted a whole 5 photos from a TDY to the UK, and thought that that would be the start of something. I was wrong. I got better about just viewing, I started leaving comments and having dialogue with other members. But it is time for me to start submitting again. So if you are actually viewing my page, you will hopefully begin to see more of my creations.

To begin I will be posting some of my paracord bracelets. It is a form of self therapy for me. I wanted to create, but I'm not very talented. I tried to knit, and when I couldn't get the needles to work I moved on to the loom method. I could get some good pieces out of it, but I was pretty limited about what I could produce and it just wasn't that satisfying.

So after a period of time I some how thought I could make paracord bracelets. I think I was in Michael's and saw a display of paracord when the light bulb lit. I began looking online for tutorials and discovered the Tying it All Together Youtube channel and the fusionknots.com website created by J.D. Lenzen. His work is amazing. He has great creative designs and his tutorial videos are very easy to follow. Most, if not all, of my knot work I learned from J.D.'s videos, so I need to make sure to give him credit.  Hope you like what you see!

Hallo all who read this. So I signed up for a dA account to check out my wife's (560-TaterTot) progress on her Momo fur suit that she started on before I deployed. But like most, I have really become a dA addict spending lots of time looking at everyone's great art. Hard to believe that there are so many talented people in the world. I decided that it isn't right for me to just look at everyone else's self expression through art without offering up something of my own in return. Time for me to start participating. I am not really talented in any shape or form, so I'm sorry if my photos are rather lackluster. Honestly this is probably what I am best at. The first set I'm going to put up are some of my favorites from my trip to England. We had a joint exercise with the Royal Air Force and we got to do a little sight seeing. All photos were taking with a Kodak EasyShare. I tried to be creative, but like I said...not talented. Maybe if I get some decent feedback, I will give in and finally get myself a DSLR! ;) Thanks and hope you enjoy!
